6 Week Yoga Basics Course (Monday Evening)

 This class is perfect if you have never done a yoga class before and your not sure what to expect. This class will introduce you to Yoga, a practical discipline for the body and mind.
Drawing on a number of styles and traditions, you'll begin to move and stretch your body, become aware of your breathing and feel more focused and calm. There's loads of instruction and demonstration to help you.

Yoga helps you achieve a healthy mind and body, as well as helping you find some inner peace in your hectic life.

Yoga for Beginners is a great place to start your Yoga adventure!

Pregnancy Yoga

 L2Y Pregnancy Yoga course is a wonderful way to prepare for labour and birth.
Each 60-minute class consists of yoga-based exercises & movement, breathing awareness, meditation techniques & a relaxation to keep you fit and healthy during your pregnancy.
The classes are specifically designed as gentle, yet strength building to help you release tension, relax & be comfortable throughout your pregnancy.
You will also learn techniques to help you through labour with or without medical pain management.

The benefits of Pregnancy Yoga include:


• increased strength and flexibility
• improved sleep quality
• better blood circulation
• reduced swelling from fluid retention
• good posture and body awareness
• improved digestion
• reduced back pain
• a small, shared community of pregnant women.

Each class concludes with an opportunity to chat and ask questions about birth related topics.

Your teacher is familiar with many of the physical discomforts that may accompany pregnancy – backache, heartburn, etc - and will be able to show you which postures to avoid and which might aid soothing. 

The Yoga for a Healthy Pregnancy course consists of five consecutive 60-minute classes for £50.

An Introduction to Mindfulness

 In this workshop I’ll give an introduction to what mindfulness, different ways it can be practices and a brief introduction of where it came from. We’ll experience 2-3 mindfulness meditation practices and discuss how mindfulness can be part of everyday life in simple and enjoyable ways. Plus there will be plenty of time to ask questions. 

Practising mindfulness has so many benefits which can include:

  • Feeling more relaxing
  • Lowering blood pressure and cortisol levels which cause stress
  • Feeling happier and more content in everyday life
  • Better sleep

This is a stand-alone workshop but we will also briefly introduce you to the full 8 week Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) programme that this type of mindfulness is based on
